Running CAMWorks 2008 on the 64-bit version of Windows XP

 

SolidWorks Requirements

·          SolidWorks 2007, CAMWorks Solids 2007 – 32-bit version (not the 64-bit version)

·          SolidWorks 2008, CAMWorks Solids 2008 – 32-bit version (not the 64-bit version)

 

CAMWorks Security/Licensing Requirements

 

·          If you are using software security/licensing, you must use the FlexLM License Manager. The previous Crypkey licensing software does not support 64-bit XP.

 

·          If you are using a dongle (key), you need to update the Sentinel driver:

1.      Remove the USB key if you are using that type of key.

2.      Uninstall the current Sentinel driver(s), if you have any driver(s) installed.

3.      Reboot the PC.

4.      Install the Sentinel Driver (ver. 7.3.0) and reboot when prompted.

5.      Install the 64-bit Driver (Sentinel ver. 7.2.2).

6.      Attach the USB key.

Note that you must install the drivers in the order shown above in order for CAMWorks to recognize the dongle.
